All our wool
is soft and lofty. A warm washable fiber, it's wrinkle and fire resistant. It's also natural and renewable. |

All our blankets are made from 100% wool from our romney, merino and shetland sheep. The wool from these breeds of sheep is known for its soft texture and is non-irritating to the skin. To achieve "lasting beauty" we use the best grade of commercial dyes on the sheep fleece.

We've shearred our llamas' with scissors, since it's like hair - not fleece. Our process includes sorting the undyed wool into color ranges - browns, white, tans, grays and black. All the llama wool colors are natural, not dyed. |
| After shearing the wool,we send it to a Michigan mill to be professionally cleaned and carded. Then I spin it by hand, dye it and weave it into blankets and throws. | just before he broke the shearer's clippers. |

I use commercial dyes because the colors they create are fade resistant. The wool simmers in the dye bath at 190 degrees for 45 minutes to properly set the colors. |
| How to Care for Your Wool Blankets Washing Instructions: Soak and swirl in mild suds, squeeze out excess water and rinse. Blot dry in towels and lay flat to dry. (on lawn, rug, bed, etc.) Wash your blanket like you would wash a baby! Would you put a baby in an automatic washer or dryer? If washed and dried properly, your wool blankets will stay soft and pliable. To prevent moth damage, encase your wool blankets with mothballs during the summer months. Make sure your dry cleaner knows your blankets are wool. |
